Rails - Easter Eggstravaganza

Easter eggs are fun!
This time, we are looking for the Easter egg in Ruby On Rails.

Searching for the Easter egg

In ActiveRecord there are speaking finder methods. Probably one of the most widely used is ActiveRecord::FinderMethods#first:

User.first
# => #<User id: 1, name: "Alice", ... >

Less common are equivalent finders for the second, third, fourth, and fifth objects:

User.second
# => #<User id: 3, name: "Bob", ... >
User.third
# => #<User id: 4, name: "Chris", ... >
User.fourth
# => #<User id: 6, name: "Diana", ... >
User.fifth
# => #<User id: 7, name: "Emma", ... >

Luckily there are no more finder helpers for all other numerals. It just makes no sense:

User.sixth
# => NoMethodError: undefined method `sixth' for #<Class:0x0055efb42f4d48>

But wait!

The Easter egg

There is one finder for the 42. object:

User.forty_two
# => #<User id: 47, name: "Douglas", ... >
